I missed it.
But it happened.

And it's kind of amazing how long I've been here.

Thank you everyone

Sorry for the lack of news/updates/uploads as of late. Things have been busy and crazy and all around pretty hectic as I wind down my freshman year of college (already? wow).

I've been uploading new work slowly but steadily and although I am in no way receiving the kind of feedback or attention I did for my older pieces, I am prouder of these new ones and actually happier with them. Firstly, I have finally begun to understand what intrigues me about photos and why I want to take them. Secondly, I have started concentrating on themes more. And lastly, I have found my calling in film and not digital photography, especially 120 film which I have been shooting a lot. Overall I just feel better about where my photos are at right now, and I hope you're all enjoying it still.

The digital is basically over, and although I still love the work I did in my earliest days here, I am moving on and forward. (It's been almost three years since I joined dA! Wow.)

In October, I am looking forward to declaring a visual arts major. Yes! I'm very excited.

In other news, I cannot stop listening to Animal Collective rarities or Saul Williams. So good.

Thanks again for all the support, whether I am still hearing from you or not. It's great to have this outlet to submit work to and your feedback is always appreciated.

Cheers! :tea:

anew?

I kind of wish I could start over.

My art and how I feel towards it and how I do it has changed so much.

New stuff going up rapidly. I've been doing a lot of 120 shooting and finally got around to uploading my shots from my 3 week trip around Europe last summer.

Also: I am addicted to "Merriweather Post Pavilion" by Animal Collective. Absolutely addicted.

Oh man, life moves fast

I realize it has been quite a while. I always realize I have been uploading new work at a slower and slower pace. Lets be honest here: I am a freshman at college and I am loving it and honestly have not put a lot of thought into this account recently.

However!
However...
my main wish here at school far away in the mountains of Vermont is to study the visual arts, primarily, yes! Photography. Because of this, when I can get into a digital darkroom or whatever and do some beautiful scanning work (finally on my own!) it will all be worth it.

I adore it here and am really indulging in everything they have to offer. Life is good. So good. I am exploring my art thoroughly. It's getting pretty frickin cold though so I better be careful.

Look for some photograms (new art form!) soon.

In the mean time, cheers!

Home

Home from the trip. It was an incredible journey and I took a lot of pictures, with my new Canon G9 and my Canon EOS 10S (for which I used black and white Kodak ISO 400 film). I'd love to start getting stuff up right now, but unfortuanetly I leave again in just one day for some other priorities on the East Coast.

I will be back in the photo uploading groove after this next trip, I swear.

The jet setting is messing with my mind. I took four flights in the past two days and crossed four time zones, landing and staying in each one for at least 3 hours. I'm quite dizzy right now. I can't wait to be home just for a bit.

Until I can sit down and sift through the Europe Trip photos and do some work, enjoy the ones I have stocked in my "still need to share" pile, from a while back in May or June.

Thank you for all the support.
Cheers. :tea:
